Page Flip Program
Graphic Design 3 Project
Package by Claire Dolan
This project centered around creating a name for a fake company and creating a logo and package design.
The Page Flip Program is a non-profit that is dedicated to getting books of all kinds to kids in need. People are welcome to donate books to our office to be packaged and given. Here at the Page Flip Program, we love to help kids learn and enjoy reading. There are multiple choices of packages depending on the age of the child and what kind of books are wanted, from fiction to education.
The packaging is made from recyclable cardboard and eco-friendly inks. Inside each package is also booklet that contains DIY crafts that can use the cardboard from the box, so it can be either reused or recycled. Each package contains at least two different books so that the child can try plenty of genres and authors.
The pastel colors were chosen to be both calming and fun, to appeal to a younger audience and to young families. The cartoon style books were illustrated to show what the purpose is in a fun way. Along with the styled circles to create a fun, kid friendly look.
The logo uses a handwritten style font to seem more approachable and kid friendly while still being readable. The words are placed in an open book illustration to connect to the purpose of the company.
